22LR Accuracy With Different Barrel Lengths The 22LR is a very common small caliber firearm used for a variety of things, but the most common uses are hunting and target/sport shooting. There are several variations of the 22 such as the 22 magnum, but the most common are the 22 long rifle and the 22 short. The 22LR is most commonly used for is hunting. Although nowadays 22 rifles and pistols are mostly used for small game hunting, a generation or two ago they were sometimes used for the larger game, such as deer and wolves. The 22LR is also widely used as a target or sport shooting gun, because of the precise accuracy at close ranges. In shooting, which is more accurate at 10, 20 and 30 meters? A rifle or a pistol? It will still shoot them, but in order for the shells to eject, the shooter must use the cartridge that is specifically made for the gun. How to Shoot There are many different ways to shoot a rifle, but the most accurate is definitely sitting down or laying down and resting the gun on something like a bipod or sandbag. Depending on the situation, there are several other positions, like the sitting position, in which you sit down, cross your legs, and rest your elbow on your knee. But, When out hunting, the most accurate position is probably the sitting position, but everybody has their own favorite position, and their own variations. Proper stance is also very important when shooting a rifle. Pretty much all beginners, if not told how, will have the wrong stance the first time. A very common way to first stand when aiming or holding a rifle is slightly leaned backwards. This is mostly because it may seem easier to hold the rifle when your back is bent. Although this position may seem easier, it is actually vary inaccurate, and can cause you to fall backwards when shooting a larger rifle or shotgun. The proper stance is the opposite of bending backwards, it is bending slightly forwards.
